Community Relations

Our Responsibilities

We are responsible for supporting our staff in disseminating information to our community partners, Elders and our Younger Disabled population.  With the support of our Volunteer Program, the Community Relations Department is the connection to the communities we serve. Through civic engagement, professional networking, public and private events, religious associations and legislative activities, we are your liaison.

Department Mission

The Community Relations Unit was created in October of 2007 to address the outreach needs of the agency. The unit’s main objective is to create awareness about Central Boston Elder Services programs and services in the community. We are the face of the organization. It is also charged with fostering and coordinating new collaborative relationships that will help support the agency’s mission.

Department Vision

To educate and advocate for our Stakeholders and the community at large through social activities, participation in outreach events, advocacy, marketing and special events.
