Little Necessities Programs

Program for consumers age 60 and above.

To apply you must have a Care Manager at Central Boston Elder Services assist by filling out the application. This is a one time award.
The Little Necessities funds have been used for items such as canes, rollator walkers, clothing, microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, bureaus, beds, recliner chairs and power lift chairs.

At Central Boston Elder Services we provide 3 Little Necessities Funds:

Little Necessities Fund for Persons with Disabilities

Through the Little Necessities Fund for Persons with Disabilities, consumers under the age of 60 may receive awards to purchase eligible goods and services to improve their quality of life.

Little Necessities Fund for Women

Through a grant from the Katharine C. Pierce Trust, female consumers age 60 and above may receive awards to purchase eligible goods and services to improve their quality of life.

The Katharine C. Pierce Trust was established to assist “needy and deserving gentlewomen in reduced circumstances, that their lives may be made more comfortable.”

Little Necessities Fund for Men

Through the Little Necessities Fund for Men, male consumers age 60 and above may receive awards to purchase eligible goods and services to improve their quality of life.
